Edit Hardware Service Details

It is possible at some time in the future that a new piece of software could be added to the server which causes a Port conflict.

IMC would recommend that the new item be given a different Port number; if this is not possible then a new Port Number can be allocated to the relevant Synergy Service.

To Edit the Hardware Service Details

1.Select Admin then Device Configuration from the drop down menu, located at the right hand side of the top menu bar.

Note:You should only edit the IP Address or DB Logger Port Number (Port No:).

5.Contact your IT department or IT service provider to get a new IP Address or DB Logger Port Number.

6.Once you have the new details number enter them into the dialog boxes next to either IP Address: or Port No: (DB Logger Port Number).

Note:The details in the Hardware Service Name:, Accept Legacy: and DB Logger Service Port No: dialog boxes should not be changed.

The 'Yes' Accept Legacy: radio button should be checked if any sensors received by this device are prior to the 4000/5000 USB series.

7.Once you are happy with the details select Update Details.

To make these changes take effect you will need to un-install the Hardware Services and re-install them, see Document Number: IM5207 Synergy Installation Manual for details.
